What is the Functional Motion class all about?
The Functional Motion class is based on “e-cises” designed by Pete Egoscue; the founder of The Egoscue Method of Posture Therapy. The Egoscue Method is a proven method that helps return a person’s body to proper alignment, function and balance through gentle, corrective exercises. Posture Therapy helps people who have occasional or chronic pain, want to improve their athletic performance, or simply want to look and feel healthier in all they do.
The Function & Motion class will help restore balance and strength through postural alignment exercises. These exercises also help reduce both chronic & occasional pain while improving and your bodies’ full range of motion. My clients have told me they feel more balanced, stronger, lighter, taller, more confident and energized and I am confident that the class members will say the same!
The class will run 55 minutes each week and we will go through a series of gentle exercises like what you see below.
